8 Effective Exercises to Lose Weight Fast

Using the right exercises to lose weight within the correct fitness routines will go a long way toward helping you quickly burn fat.

I recently started a new fitness training program that is designed to preserve lean muscle mass while boosting my metabolism and burning fat quickly.
And I wanted to do it without spending hours in the gym, or doing crazy amounts of boring slow go cardio training, like the treadmill or exercise bike.
While I normally focus most of my attention on my weight training program, I’m currently looking to get ripped while building up my cardio conditioning.
But I don’t want to do this by sacrificing my weight training plans.
This means I have to be very careful with the exercises I choose for losing weight. I don’t want to end up looking like a marathon runner.
I’ve cut back on my weight training program to where each workout lasts only about 20 minutes.
In addition, my current cardio program - 8 Exercises to Lose Weight - only lasts about 8 - 16 minutes total. Yes, really.
Here’s my effective exercise program to burn fat faster and how I currently perform them.
WARM UP
- Body Weight Squats: 12 reps
- Jumping Jacks: 10 reps
- Push Ups: 5 reps
- Body Weight Squats: 12 reps
- Jumping Jacks: 10 reps
- Push Ups: 5 reps
That’s two continuous circuits.
Then I take about a 1 minute rest and start my high intensity interval training program which is designed specifically to burn fat faster than traditional cardio training.
It looks like this:
- Jumping Jacks
- Plank
- Mountain Climbers
- Side Hops over a Dumbbell (sometimes it’s Push Ups
- Sprint in Place (bring knees high to touch hands)
- Body Weight Squats
- Burpee
- Reverse Lunges

That’s the eight. Now, there are a lot of other exercises that are very effective that you can change in and out with this fitness routine.
You can even change the order. The variety is almost endless and will keep you from getting bored.
The key to increasing your metabolism and burning fat is how you do the program.
You need to be mentally tough and motivated because only you really know if you’re giving it your all on this fitness training plan.
You do each exercise all out for 15 seconds. Then rest for 15 seconds. Then move to the next exercise and go all out for 15 seconds and so on until you’ve finished all eight exercises.
Yes, that’s four minutes to get through the program one time. Don’t think it’s tough? Try it.
You’ll work your way up to doing two or sometimes three full circuits in a workout, taking a two minute rest between each full circuit of eight exercises.
Another great way to boost your metabolism with a workout like this is to break it up. Do one full circuit two or three times throughout the day.
You could do one circuit of eight in the morning, one at lunch time and one in the evening.
This will give your metabolism a jolt multiple times throughout the day, helping you to burn fat faster than ever before.
