Ori Hofmekler Warrior Diet Review
By admin | August 4, 2008
I had a chance to chat with Ori Hofmekler on the phone for about an hour regarding his nutrition ideas.
If you’re not familiar with Ori and his Warrior Diet, let me tell you that he has some unique ideas when it comes to proper nutrition for both burning fat and building muscle.
While Ori has a number of books out covering nutrition, fat loss, and muscle building, I’ll be focusing on The Warrior Diet Fat Loss Program.
If you’ve been following any of the popular diets out there, such as the Atkin’s Diet, South Beach Diet, Maker’s Diet, and on and on, you’re going to discover something different.
In fact, even if you follow the typical ‘don’t eat at night’ dogma, this is something new.
In the Warrior Diet Fat Loss Program, Ori focuses on one major biological principle and that’s survival.
While I won’t get into it here, the diet centers around this biological principle in a way that works with the body’s survival mechanisms in order to reduce stubborn body fat and prevent the ever frustrating weight gain rebound that so many people suffer from.
The Warrior Diet Fat Loss Program focuses on three main phases.
In Phase I, you will focus on detox and improve the body’s capacity to remove toxins, helping the liver neutralize substances that cause fat gain.
In Phase II, you eat to improve the body’s ability to utilize fat for energy.
In the third phase, you improve the body’s ability to utilize carbs for energy.
The fat loss program takes you through phases that trigger survival mechanisms that help you to burn fat, build muscle and feel better, including taking advantage of cycles of undereating and overeating.
At certain points, Ori even has you overeating at night with a big meal.
I know, it goes against a lot of what you’ve heard about losing weight.
For the Warrior Diet to be effective, it’s crucial what you eat and when you eat.
